Secondary operations begin as soon as the part is solid to create the finished part
Knockout process : once the metal is solid and cold, sand mold and cores will be removed by breaking them away from the casting with a specially designed knockout machinery. The sand can then be recovered and recycled.
Blasting process : to remove remaining sand that may adhere to the casting. the surface is cleaned using a blasting process. This means a granular media will be propelled against the surface of the casting to mechanically knock away the adhering sand.
Arc-air cutting process : removing the risers and the remaining gate material is done byarc-air cutting process.
Grinding process : grinding machines are used to achieve the desired dimensional accuracies or physical shape of the pre-finished part.
Heat treatment
Welding process : Welding consists in repairing some detected defaults of the part.
Sand blasting : This operation allows to remove remaining sand and to clean the surface of the part.
Machining : this operation, most of the time subcontracted by the group, is made according to order’s specifications or drawings. The group solid relationships with a panel of machining companies.
